What Household HQ is
Household HQ is a private household command center for appointments, calendars, grocery lists, recipes, inventory, and household records. It is designed for personal household use.
Google account information
When you connect Google, Household HQ receives the Google account email address associated with the connection so the household can see which account is connected.
Google Calendar
Household HQ uses the Google Calendar scope calendar.app.created to create and manage the Household HQ calendar and synchronize Household HQ appointments and household events to that calendar. It does not use this connection to manage unrelated calendars.
Google Photos Picker
If you choose to add Google Photos to the Fridge photo frame, Household HQ uses Google Photos Picker. Household HQ only accesses photos and videos that you explicitly select in the Google Photos Picker. It does not browse your library or access unselected media.
What we store
- Your connected Google account email address.
- An encrypted OAuth refresh token so Household HQ can sync while you are not actively using the app.
- The Google Calendar identifier used for the Household HQ calendar and synchronization metadata.
- Photos you explicitly select through Google Photos Picker after they are imported into the household Fridge photo collection.
Security
Household HQ uses HTTPS for network communication and stores the Google refresh token encrypted at rest using application-managed encryption. Access to household data is restricted through the household account and membership controls. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection, but we take reasonable steps to protect stored information.
Why Google data is used
Calendar data is used to keep Household HQ appointments and household events synchronized with the household's dedicated Google Calendar. Selected photos are used only to display the household's chosen Fridge photo collection.
Retention and deletion
Google connection information and synchronization data remain stored while the connection is active or until the household requests deletion. Disconnecting Google stops the connection and removes stored Google connection credentials. Household administrators can also remove imported Google Photos from the Fridge photo collection. To request deletion of stored Google connection data or ask a question, contact [email protected].
How to disconnect
Use the Google connection controls in Household HQ Settings and choose Disconnect Google. You may also revoke Household HQ's access from your Google Account security settings.
What we do not do
Household HQ does not sell Google user data and does not use Google data for advertising. Google data is used only for the Household HQ features described above.
